19th century muzzle loading percussion sporting gun marked 'J Alder (?)', having 68cm Damascus barrel with octagonal breech section, chequered walnut half stock with ebonised ramrod, the breech with gold inlays, the stock with silver escutcheon. Overall 112cm approx. Over 18s only. (B.P. 21% + VAT)
Appearing in good condition commensurate with age, no serious damage or losses, although showing general wear, the barrels now lacking original finish. Maker's name difficult to read, please see photos.
